This piece is held together using steel rings fitted into the crow of the stave. Tension is created in the ring by a wooden cork that pushes the staves out. The design of this piece of furniture is influenced by the forces that hold a wine barrel together. The material, the design and its’ form, are totally unique.I also like this product because it utilizes the whole stave without modifications except for a one hole.
